Why do I need a survey?
If you are refinancing or applying for a mortgage, the Bank or Lending Institution will usually require a survey. Your insurance company may also require an Elevation Certificate. There are other important reasons for having you property surveyed, click here.
How much will it cost?
A survey of a residential house, meeting Bank's requirements, less than 1 acre , will cost between $250 and $500 (depending on the legal description) if, an Elevation Certificate is required this would cost $120 when prepared in conjunction with house survey, $300 if ordered separately.
How long will it take?
Residential house surveys are delivered to the Bank or Title Company within 5 business days of being ordered.
